เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูดาเปสต์ ชี้แจงข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งทางการเมืองไทย

ต่อคณะผู้แทนรัฐสภาฮังการีที่จะเข้าร่วมการประชุมสมัชชาสหภาพรัฐสภาที่ประเทศไทย

ระหว่างวันที่ 27 มีนาคม – 1 เมษายน 2553

เมื่อวันที่ 4 มีนาคม 2553 เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูดาเปสต์ กาญจน์ ชีรานนท์ ได้เข้าพบแนะนำตัวและหารือกับ Mr. Gabor Hars ประธานกลุ่มประจำชาติฮังการีในสหภาพรัฐสภา (IPU) และรัฐสภาองค์การเพื่อความมั่นคงและความร่วมมือในยุโรป (OSCE PA) ณ ที่ทำการสมาชิกรัฐสภาฮังการี เพื่อแสดงความยินดีที่ได้รับแต่งตั้งให้เป็นหัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนรัฐสภาฮังการีเข้าร่วมการประชุมสมัชชาสหภาพรัฐสภา ครั้งที่ 122 ซึ่งประเทศไทยจะเป็นเจ้าภาพที่กรุงเทพฯ ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แสดงความขอบคุณในนามประเทศไทยที่ฮังการีให้ความสำคัญส่งคณะผู้แทนระดับสูงเข้าร่วม พร้อมปวารนาตัวที่จะให้ความร่วมมืออำนวยความสะดวกประสานงานให้การเยือนของคณะฯ เป็นไปอย่างเรียบร้อยที่สุด

ต่อมา เมื่อวันที่ 18 มีนาคม 2553 เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวันแก่ประธานฯ และคณะผู้แทนฮังการีบางส่วนที่ไม่ติดภารกิจเร่งด่วน ประกอบด้วย Ms. Gabriella Beki รองประธานกลุ่มประจำชาติฮังการีใน IPU และประธานกลุ่มมิตรภาพรัฐสภาฮังการี-เอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และ Dr. Istvan Simicsko ประธานกลุ่มมิตรภาพรัฐสภาฮังการี-ไทย โดยเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ถือโอกาสนี้ ชี้แจงสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งทางการเมืองไทยล่าสุด เพื่อลดความห่วงกังวลในความปลอดภัยของคณะผู้แทนฮังการี และว่า ในชั้นนี้ รัฐบาลสามารถควบคุมดูแลรักษาความสงบเรียบร้อยได้ดีแม้การชุมนุมจะผ่านมาหลายวันแล้วรวมทั้ง นโยบายของรัฐบาลที่ให้ความสำคัญสูงสุดต่อการรักษาความปลอดภัยสำหรับผู้แทนของทุกประเทศที่เข้าร่วมการประชุมฯ

คณะผู้แทนรัฐสภาฮังการีที่จะเข้าร่วมการประชุมสมัชชา IPU ประกอบด้วยสมาชิกรัฐสภาจาก 5 พรรคการเมืองใหญ่ของฮังการี ทั้งจากฝากรัฐบาลและฝ่ายค้าน อาทิ  MSZP, FEDESZ, SZDSZ, KDNP และ MDF

Thai Ambassador to Hungary updated the latest situation on political protests in Thailand to

the Hungarian Delegation attending upcoming Assembly of the IPU in Thailand between 27 March–1 April 2010

On 4 March 2010, H.E. Mr. Karn Chiranond, the Thai Ambassador to Hungary, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Gabor Hars, President of the Hungarian National Group of the IPU and Head of the Hungarian Parliamentary delegation to the OSCE PA at the Office of the Hungarian National Assembly. The Ambassador took this opportunity to introduce himself and congratulate Mr. Hars upon his appointment as the Head of the Hungarian Parliamentary Delegation attending the upcoming 122nd Assembly of the IPU to be hosted by Thailand in Bangkok. The Ambassador also expressed his appreciation, on behalf of Thailand, to Hungary for attaching importance to this Meeting by sending a senior level Hungarian delegation to attend.

Furthermore, on 18 March 2010, the Thai Ambassador hosted a luncheon at his Residence in honour of Mr. Hars and other Hungarian delegates who were not occupied with urgent matters namely, Ms. Gabriella Beki, Vice-President of the Hungarian National Group of the IPU and Chair of the Hungarian-South East Asian Friendship Group and Dr. Istvan Simicsko, Co-chairman of the Hungarian-Thai Friendship Group. The Ambassador took this opportunity to update the latest situation on the protests in Thailand to appease the Hungarian delegation who expressed concerns about their safety during the Meeting’s period. The Ambassador informed that the Thai Government has been rather successful in maintaining peace and stability despite the ongoing protests for many days now. The Ambassador also reaffirmed the Thai Government’s policy to attach highest importance to the provision of highest level of security for all participants of the Meeting.

The Hungarian Delegation comprises of representatives of five major political parties, both from the government side and the opposition namely MSZP, FIDESZ, SZDSZ, KDNP and MDF.
