เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูดาเปสต์ ให้การต้อนรับรองหัวหน้าพรรคฝ่ายค้านฮังการีและ

อดีตเอกอัครราชทูตฮังการีประจำประเทศไทยที่ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตฯ

เมื่อวันที่ 28 สิงหาคม 2553 ที่ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตฯ  เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบูดาเปสต์ กาญจน์ ชีรานนท์  ได้ให้การต้อนรับและเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำแก่ Dr. András Balogh อดีตเอกอัครราชทูตฮังการีประจำประเทศไทย และภริยา เพื่อแสดงความยินดีสำหรับความสำเร็จในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ที่ประเทศไทย หลังครบวาระประจำการเมื่อวันที่ 22 สิงหาคม 2553  แสดงความยินดีที่  Dr. Balogh ได้รับแต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่งรองหัวหน้าพรรคฝ่ายค้านของฮังการี และแสดงความยินดีที่ Dr. Balogh จะกลับคืนสู่วงการศึกษา โดยมี Dr. István Szerdahelyi  อธิบดีกรมเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก,  Mr. Andras Kocsis ประธานสำนักพิมพ์ Kossuth และภริยา รวมทั้ง Mr. Adam Levendel  ผู้บริหารบริษัทโฆษณา Sonda-Ipsos และภริยา เข้าร่วมด้วย

Dr. Balogh เป็นบุคคลสำคัญของฮังการี โดยนอกจากจะเคยเป็นเอกอัครราชทูตฮังการีประจำประเทศไทยและอินเดียแล้ว ยังเป็นนักวิชาการด้านประวัติศาสตร์เอเชียที่มีชื่อเสียงคนหนึ่งของฮังการี โดยเคยเป็นประธานคณะกรรมการฝ่ายการศึกษานโยบายของต่างประเทศของวิทยสถานเพื่อสรรพศาสตร์แห่งประเทศฮังการี และผู้อำนวยการสถาบันศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์สมัยใหม่ของมหาวิทยาลัย Eötvös Loránd ของกรุงบุดาเปสต์ นอกจากนี้ ในด้านการเมืองยังเคยเป็นผู้แทนของพรรคสังคมนิยม (MSZP) ลงแข่งขันเลือกตั้งชิงตำแหน่งประธานาธิบดีของฮังการีเมื่อเดือนมิถุนายนที่ผ่านมา ปัจจุบัน ดำรงตำแหน่งรองหัวหน้าพรรค MSZP และศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณของมหาวิทยาลัย Eötvös Loránd

 

Thai Ambassador to Hungary welcomed Deputy Chairman of the Opposition Party

and Former Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand at the Ambassador’s Residence

On 28 August 2010, at the Ambassador’s Residence, H.E. Mr. Karn Chiranond, the Thai Ambassador to Hungary hosted a dinner to welcome and congratulate Dr. András Balogh, Former Ambassador and his wife upon successful completion of his tenure as the Hungarian Ambassador to Thailand on 22 August 2010 and for his appointment as the Deputy Chairman of the Opposition Party as well as for his return to the Hungarian academic circle. Other distinguished guests at the dinner include Dr. István Szerdahelyi, Director-General of the Asia-Pacific Department, Mr. Andras Kocsis, Chairman of Kossuth Publishing and his wife, and Mr. Adam Levendel, CEO of Sonda-Ipsos Ltd. and his wife.

Dr. Balogh is a prominent Hungarian, apart from being the Former Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand and India, he is one of the most renown historians on the field of Asia in Hungary. Dr. Balogh was the Former Chairman of the Committee for International Policy Studies at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Former Head of the Institute of Modern History at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. In political arena, Dr. Balogh was the candidate of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) in the Hungarian presidential election in June 2010. Currently he is Deputy Chairman of MSZP and Emeritus professor at Eötvös Loránd University.
