On 29 August 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest, together with Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel organised the Muay Thai Gala Night at the Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel. Mr. Tamas Fazekas, General Manager of the Hotel, welcomed guests and H.E. Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, delivered the opening remarks. There were approximately 120 attendees joining the event. The activities in the event included Muay Thai traditional performances and the boxing matches between the national Muay Thai athletes from Thailand and Muay Thai fighters from Hungary and Greece.

On this occasion, there was also a showcase of authentic Thai cuisine by a Thai chef presenting Thai authentic dishes such as the world heritage Tom Yum Kung, Chicken Green Curry, and Mango with Sticky Rice, to promote the Thai Gastro Week, which is happening during 30 August – 7 September 2025 at the White Salon Restaurant.
