H.E. Mr. Wanmuhamadnoor Matha, Speaker of the National Assembly of Thailand, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Sereewatthanawut, Secretary-General of King Prajadhipok’s Institute, and delegation paid an official visit to Hungary as guests of the Hungarian National Assembly from 2–5 November 2025.
During the visit, the Speaker met with H.E. Mr. László Kövér, Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, H.E. Mr. Zsolt Semjén, Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Tibor Navracsics, Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development, and H.E. Mr. Bence Rétvári, Deputy Minister of Interior. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations, enhance parliamentary cooperation, promote educational exchange, and support the Thailand–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The Speaker also witnessed the signing of an MOU between King Prajadhipok’s Institute and the Christian Democratic Institute of Hungary, and visited leading research and educational institutions such as the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) and the Danube Institute to exchange knowledge on sustainable development, local governance, and leadership education.
The visit further reinforced the long-standing friendship between Thailand and Hungary and opened new avenues of cooperation.
