On 29 September 2016, H.E. Mrs. Kanthong Unakul, Ambassador of Thailand received an award from Mr. Andor Schmuk, President of the Hungarian Honors Society in honor of the Thai Ambassador’s assistance to retired community during her tour of duty in Hungary.

                        On behalf of the retired community, Mr. Schmuk expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for supporting various projects of the Honors Society, such as the establishment of a Thai language class, sending a Thai cultural performance to the annual retirement fair and assisting the Society in organizing a visit to Thailand by 300 retirees.

                        H.E. Mrs. Kanthong Unakul is the first foreign dignitary in Hungary to receive this award. Previously the award was granted to His Majesty the King of Spain, His Excellency the President of Hungary and a United Nations Secretary – General.
