On 12 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Hungary, presided over a meritorious ceremony marking the 50th day following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother. The ceremony featured the chanting of Buddhist prayers led by four monks from Wat Buddharama (Berlin), Wat Buddhavihara (Berlin), and Wat Thai Rattanaprateep (Budapest). Approximately 50 participants attended the ceremony, including officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, members of Team Thailand, their spouses, and Thai community in Hungary. Participants also joined a meditation session, during which the Ambassador delivered a message of condolence and paid tribute in remembrance of Her Majesty’s immeasurable royal benevolence. The merit accrued from the ceremony was dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, as an expression of deep mourning and heartfelt reverence.

The Royal Thai Embassy will also organise the 100th-day ceremony. Further details regarding the date, time, and venue will be announced in due course.
