On 12 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy organised its third mobile consular service of 2025 in Sopron, Hungary. Around 20 Thai nationals residing in Sopron and nearby areas received services such as passport issuance services and document legalisation.
On the same occasion, Ambassador Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena met with members of the Thai community in the light of strengthening the Thai community in Hungary. The event was attended by around 40 participants. The Ambassador emphasised the importance of strengthening the Thai community in Hungary, enhancing cooperation between the Thai community and the Embassy, and raising awareness about the proactive role of the Embassy in addressing the impact of the new immigration law on Thai nationals. Following this, Mr. Nopakhun Luichant, Minister Counsellor, explained the framework of the Royal Thai Embassy's mission, particularly in consular affairs, to provide the Thai community with a better understanding of this framework. In addition, the Embassy granted 280,000 forints to Mrs. Petcharat Kocsis, a Thai community leader in Sopron, in recognition of her support with the Embassy’s consular missions.
