On 1 May 2024, Ambassador Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena and his spouse participated in the Thai New Year celebration (Songkran) organised by Wat Thai Rattanaprateep, Budapest. The Ambassador delivered the opening remarks and took part in the religious ceremony and the pouring of water on the monks and elders for New Year blessing.

In addition, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest donated 300,000 forints to support Wat Thai Rattanaprateep, which takes on an important role in promoting Buddhism as well as enhancing unity and harmony among the Thai people in Hungary.
