On 11 October 2017, H.E.Mr.Jakkrit Srivali, Ambassador of Thailand paid a courtesy call on H.E.Mr.Laszlo Köver, Speaker of the Parliament of Hungary. The Hungarian Speaker of the Parliament expressed his condolence on the passing of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej and emphasized the importance of Thailand in ASEAN. He congratulated the signing of the agreement on education and scientific program exchange on the next day (12 October) in Bangkok which will enable Thai students to apply for Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship. He believed that students could be ambassador of goodwill that help strengthen the friendship between the two countries. Mr. Köver also recommended the Ambassador to get in touch with the Hungarian-Thai Parliamentary Group.
