On 16 January 2017, The Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest organized a Buddhist Merit Making Ceremony and Prayers for King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the late King of Thailand at the Thai Temple in Budapest.

                    30 members of the Thai Community, which included Thai families, business owners and Embassy staff, attended the ceremony in honour of the Late King of Thailand. Mr. Tor Saralamba, Charge d’Affaires, also led the participants in giving alms to Buddhist Monks.

                   The Embassy also hosted lunch for the Thais who participated in ceremony, which also served as a good opportunity for the Embassy staff and Thais meet and discuss Thai community projects which will be organized in 2017.
