On 8 August 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest organized a celebration on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand’s 84th Birthday Anniversary and Mother’s Day 2016 at the Thai Temple in Budapest.

               H.E. Mrs. Kanthong Unakul, the Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, the Embassy staff and 40 Thais attended the celebration. The Ambassador paid homage to Her Majesty the Queen and lead the Thai community in the singing of the royal anthems. After the official ceremony, the Ambassador and guests gave alms to a Buddhist monk from the Thai Temple in Budapest. To commemorate Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Celebrations this year, the Ambassador and Thai community joined together to plant a tree and painted the temples fence to commemorate this auspicious occasion.
