During 24- 26 June 2015, Her Excellency Mrs. Kanthong Unakul, Ambassador of Thailand accredited to the Republic of Croatia, paid an official visit to the Republic of Croatia to hand in a copy of Credentials to Mrs. Dunja Sicaja, Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia. On that occasion, Mrs. Dunja expressed her gratitude to the Government of Thailand for being one of the first countries to recognize Croatia as an independent state in 1992. Mrs. Dunja also noted that Thailand is an important global tourist destination and is also very popular among Croatian tourists.

The Thai Ambassador informed that she was very pleased with Thai – Croatian relations which were warm and friendly and hoped that cooperation between the two governments would increase in the time to come. The Ambassador further informed that the Thai Embassy will be organizing cultural activities in Croatia at the end of June 2015, which will help Croatians familiarize themselves more with Thailand and its culture. Mrs. Dunja stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia was pleased to assist the Thai Embassy in its activities in Croatia.
