Subject: Practical Guideline for Passengers Traveling to the Kingdom of Thailand during the COVID-19 Pandemic
In order to prevent and reduce the potential risks to the general public within the Kingdom of Thailand, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) on March 2020 issued the Notification of CAAT on Pratical Guideline for Air Operators Performing Flights into the Kingdom of Thailand. This Notification came into effect on 22 March 2020 at 00.00 hrs. Thailand local time or 21 March 2020 at 18.00 hrs., Budapest local time.
All Air operators providing services to foreign passengers traveling to the Kingdom of Thailand are required to perform the following screening of passenger at the time of check-in:
(1) Check passengers’ health certificate with laboratory test result certifying that the passengers have no evidence of being infected by Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The health certificate must be issued no more than 72 hours prior to the date of travel.
(2) Check passengers’ insurance policy that shows minimum medical coverage in Thailand of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), in the amount not less than 100,000 USD.
