On 9 April 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest organised a Buddhist ceremony to celebrate Thai New Year (Songkran) and on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand at the Embassy. H.E. Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, presided over the ceremony. Phra Kru Paisal Sasanakitvides, the abbot of Wat Thairattanaprateep, Budapest, led the Buddhist ceremony. The ceremony was attended by officials and spouses, together with local staff of the Embassy.
