On 3 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, together with officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest, participated in the 12th Anniversary Celebration of Wat Thai Rattanaprateep and the 2026 Annual Candle Offering Ceremony at Wat Thai Rattanaprateep in Budapest. The ceremony was presided over by six Buddhist monks from Wat Thai Rattanaprateep in Budapest; Wat Buddhadamma in Graz, Austria; Wat Srinagarindravararam in Solothurn, Switzerland; Wat Thai Innsbruck (Dhammavisuddhi) in Tyrol, Austria; and Wat Thai Austria Dhammaram in Vienna, Austria.

On this occasion, the Ambassador greeted participants and highlighted the importance of strengthening the Thai community in Hungary. The Ambassador commended the unity and strong participation of Thai nationals in the event and reaffirmed the Royal Thai Embassy’s continued support for Thai temples and community leaders in preserving Thai culture and fostering a strong and cohesive Thai community.
