On 10 March 2022, Ms. Pilanya Niyomthai, Chargé d'affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest, joined the Diplomatic Corps in Budapest in observing the Presidential Election of Hungary at the Parliament. The Chargé d'affaires had the opportunity to congratulate Mrs. Novák as well as inform her that Thailand and Hungary will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations in 2023.
