On 20 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, together with Mr. Nopakhun Luichant (Minister Counsellor) and Ms. Montakan Hengsuwan (Counsellor), paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Card. Michael Wallace Banach, Apostolic Nuncio to Hungary and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Hungary. The Apostolic Nuncio welcomed Ambasssador Bhaholpolbhayuhasena to the diplomatic corps in Hungary, whose dynamic impresses the Apostolic Nuncio. The Apostolic Nuncio showed interest on the official visit of H.E. Mr. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, to Thailand on 19 March 2024. In addition, both sides exchanged views on several aspects of Hungary such as economy, culture, and politics, especially the standpoint of Hungary in the European Union. Furthermore, the Apostolic Nuncio accepted the invitation to the vin d’honneur on 26 March 2024, on the occasion of the presentation of Letters of Credence and His Excellency’s Assumption of Duty as Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary.
