On 8 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Hungary, met with the Thai community in Sopron, Hungary. Attendees included Mrs. Petcharat Kocsis, leader of the Thai community in Sopron, and over 30 Thai workers from Sopron and surrounding areas.

On this occasion, the Ambassador formally highlighted the Embassy’s roles in providing support and services to Thai nationals residing in Hungary and countries within its jurisdiction as well as emphasizing the importance of strengthening and empowering Thai community abroad. The Ambassador and Ms. Phanomkwan Devahastin Na Ayudhaya, Counsellor/Consul, also provided consular guidance, as well as an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences regarding living and working in Hungary including matters relating to Hungarian Labour Law.

In addition, the Ambassador presented a financial contribution to Mrs. Petcharat Kocsis, leader of the Thai community in Sopron, in recognition for her support and coordination with the Embassy on consular matters.
