On 1 June 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Ministry of Tourism of Thailand and Tourism Authority of Thailand hosted a “Thai Night” at the Mom Cultural Theatre in Budapest Hungary. The evening featured Thai performances from the Sakhon Traditional Thai Puppets and Bunditpattanasilpa Institute of Thailand, as well as Thai handicraft demonstrations from Rajamangala University of Technology.  

                        Following the performances, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted dinner for 700 guests, who also enjoyed cooking demonstrations during the dinner reception. The Thai Night is part of the Royal Thai Embassy’s cultural diplomacy initiative to encourage more awareness of Thailand in Hungary. The initiative also aims to attract more Hungarian visitors to Thailand and also buy more Thai products.
