On 1 April 2016, H.E. Mrs.Kanthong Unakul, Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary hosted dinner in honour of Hungarian automotive businessmen who will be participating in the Thailand Auto Parts and Accessories (TAPA) 2016 on 7-10 April 2016 in Bangkok.The guests of honour were Mr. Csaba Kilian, CEO of the Hungarian Automotive Association and Mr. Levente Bocsi, General Manager of Pickup4x4 Ltd. and their spouses. Also present was Ms. Yossavadee Khaewattana, Minister Counselor for commercial affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague, who is temporarily overseeing Hungary.

Automobile production is a major industrial sector of Hungary. Several leading automobile companies set up their production plant in Hungary such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Suzuki. Vehicle and autoparts are among the top five export and import items between Thailand and Hungary.
